| My 29 month old daughter cries everynight at bedtime. It's usually for things like, a drink, a kleenex, a hug etc...Between my husband and I, we have to go inot her room anywhere from 3-12 times before she falls asleep. Here's the catch...If we let her cry (Ferberizing), she gets so worked up she is sick to stomac, lots! Any suggestions would be appreciated.

| only thing I can suggest is what me and my wife do we make sure our child has a drink by her bedside for the nite, give her a box of klennex and read some bedtime stories then give her a big hug and kiss and say goodnite see you in the morning oh and it helps if your in your bedclothes doing this so the child thinks that you are headed to bed too and confirm to the child that you will be right down the hall from them

I had a hard time with my daughter at that age.
Some ideas:
- have a very steady evening routine, with no tv or bright lights
- make sure bed time is early enough, the routine can start before she seems tired
- anticipate her needs and have a drink, kleenex, stuffy etc at the ready.
- white noise or quiet soothing music may help
I don't have a problem laying down with my kids while they fall asleep, and it usually goes quite quickly, so if you feel like doing that it may work for you.
