My name is Carly Spencer and I am an Associate Producer at RTR Media. We are currently looking for a very special family for one of two episodes for our hit series “Maxed Out.” While this program normally explores couples in financial trouble, we are casting for a family based episode.

1. We are looking for a family with teenagers who might not understand the process the parents goes through when trying to properly budget for the household.

“Do you think money grows on trees?” This is a familiar parent/teenager predicament. We would like to reverse the roles for one family.

This is a teen takeover story – teens take over the household budget and in the process, learn the value of money and the importance of work ethic and communication. This family’s personal financial information will not be broadcast, nor will it the focus of the show. We want to see how teens, when put to the challenge, handle the daily household bills and expenses. If you know of anyone who may be interested, please pass along my information. This is an excellent opportunity to bring a family closer together and help each person better understand one another’s roles.

2. We are looking for a newly blended family to celebrate the meaning of the holidays. We want this family to explore the true meaning of togetherness, sharing and giving. Hi everyone!

Well, I don't really consider myself a vendor as I am first and foremost a mother and 'Abbey Lane' is really a hobby I do for fun for my little girl. I started making funky hair clips for my little girl as I could not find ANY clips that were not over the top 'girly'. Some friends and moms at local playgroups loved them and asked if I could make some for them. Since then, I set up a little etsy shop and when I travel, I find local fabric stores and go to town. I am a DONA International trained birth doula accepting new clients in the Edmonton area.

You get a free consultation where I go over the services I provide and show you my contract. This is a FREE one hour meet and greet.

My services include two prenatal visits, one at 32 weeks (approx) and one at 36 weeks (approx). During these two visits, we go over your birth wishes, labouring positions and pain management techniques. You'll learn breathing techniques and other information. Both of these visits are roughly 2 hours each. Of course, if you happen to find this information much closer to your due date, it is something we can work with as well. Your appointments will just be closer together.

I am on call for you 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, from approx. 2 weeks before until you deliver. I come to your home or place of birth, depending on when you need me. I take pictures and write up a beautiful keepsake birth story. I stay with you until the birth of your child and up to two hours afterwards.

Your post natal visit about a month later, I come and visit and ask what your thoughts were on your birth, how you felt then and how things are going now. We go over my services (what you liked and disliked) and I present you with your keepsake birth story and your keepsake disk with all your photos.
