I was wondering when does EWCM appear and how long does it last? I know its around your fertile time but was wondering does it start before you O? Or last after you O?

Hi ladies!

I know that using lubricant isn't the best idea when TTC, as it supposedly slows down the sperm, but I have a tendancy to be on the dry side, and would like to continue using lubricant.

Does anyone know if there are certain brands/types that are better than others?

(Oh, and just a tip for you, that I didnt know before...check the tiney tiny print on the lube, to make sure it doesn't say it contains spermicide, I had a friend TTC for 8 months while using lubricant, and then she realized that it contained a spermicide!).

Ok my little one will be 4 in July and is out of diapers only wears pull ups to bed well they are goodnights (her butt showed off in pull ups) and wakes up mostly dry my wife has been on birthcontrol for 3 years how long does it take for the body to readjust so we can start trying for the second child.

This is our 4th month TTC, and the only month since I started charting (when we started TTC), where I've had a dip in my temperature in my luteal phase. I'm thinking that could be the reason iVillage is now predicting I'm pregnant (and the day it shows that is my bday, which would be totally awesome).

I don't want to get my hopes up and face disappointment, but I'm now finding it hard not to feel excitement. iVillage has previously always said I was 'Not Pregnant' until about a week after af arrived - then for the previous cycle it said I was pregnant. This is very unusual - so any thoughts/opinions/comments are welcome!

Hi! I'm new to the forum and to TTC.
I've been off the pill for 7 months and while on the pill I had a regular 28 day cycle but off the pill my cycle has varied from 28-24 days. I've been charting my BBT for the past 5 months and my follicular phase has been between 15 - 18 days (which means luteal phase has been 12-16 days). Will any of these 'variances' affect my chance of conception? Should I see a doctor? We've been TTC for 1 month.

Is there anyone here??

Hi ladies, I am new to this board and am very excited to talk to all the new mommies and mommies to be!
I have posted this topic on Canadian Brides as well, but I wanted to again...my Q is: how old are the ladies that are pregnant of ttc??
Im just asking because I am recently married and am 23, my hubby 24...all I can think about it ttc!!!
I know that everyone is different in the time that they think they are ready to start a family, I just wonder if ppl will think that I am too young, or if I am.......I know it doesnt matter what ppl think, but I was just curious....

Peeing after sex

Well my husband and I are TTC for about two months now. Well I have a couple of stories on how best to conceive and one of them was to not pee after you have sex. Unfortunately, I tend to pee always after sex..is it true that you shouldnt pee?

What are other things I should know and avoid?

Hi Everyone,

Has anyone ever taken MTX or your husbands and had to stop or replace the drug in order to get pregnant?

We have been cautioned not to get pregnant until he has been off MX (Methotrexate) for 4 months. I would like to know if people switched meds, what did they switch too, or their experience os stoping the drug completly, also does anyone really know exactly what this drug does that is so bad? ( i hear that it causes miscarriages) please help...

Please tell me I'm not the only one in this situation.

After just recently getting married (September 8, 2007) I am ready to ttc. I've had the baby fever for a while now but have always brushed it off until "after we're married". Well, now we're married and I'm rip raring and ready to go.

Everytime I talk to my husband Isaac about it, he says he's not ready, or that we'll start trying "soon". I've tried to find out why he's not ready, and all he says is that he doesn't know why.

It's frusterating! I know that I have to wait until he's ready, but I'm afraid that he wants to wait until we're financially able to have a baby. My views are that you'll never be where you want to be financially, as humans, we always want more more more.

As I see it, if we were to get pregnant, we'd make it work.

Please tell me if I'm crazy!

I haven't metioned this to anyone else yet, but my period has been acting like it's going to start for about a week now, but still just a light discharge. No period.
I've never had this happen before my cycle is very predictable so that's why I'm starting to think... this might be it!
I will keep ya'll posted if anything changes!

Weight Watchers and TTC?

I recently started weight watchers. With me TTC I would really like to lose some weight, as pregnant I will be pushing over 200lbs. I for me that is just not healthy.
My Mom has all the books and info so I'm going the cheap way on her guidance. My question though is that if I get pregnant is it still safe to do weight watchers?? Anyone else know??

I just wanted to introduce myself. My husband and I have been married just over a year now and have started TTC since last month. It didn't work for us the first month, but when my period came over a week late I figured that we probably weren't trying at the right time and apparently I had absolutely no idea when I was ovulating

So, we're at it again this month, hoping that it works this time! (It's HARD to get that man into bed every other day, or even every 2 days!) haha!

Anyway, hopefully you'll be seeing me around here from now on!

Hi, I am new to the board and just wanted to say hi. My husband and I have been married for 8 months but we have been together for 6 yrs. We just started to try to concieve last week during my ovulating time. I have had mild cramping for the past two days, is it possible that maybe it's a sign of implantation that early? I never thought it would be this quick, I am fairly realistic about things like this and never expect things to happen so easily-so I'm pretty sure the cramping is not just in my mind. Any know?

I'm new here and just wanted to say hello. Here's my story.

I married my sweet DH in August '06. We have decided that Oct/Nov of this year will be our time to TTC. Until then it's all about saving as much money, paying off as much debt and getting as much information as we can. I also have to start a new job. My job is too physically demanding for me to have pregnant and I'm also a freelancer, so I would have a hard time getting maternity leave pay.

I want a baby so badly. I am always on the Family Planning section of the Canadian Bride website. That's how I got linked here.

ovarian cysts & fertility

I have had an ovarian cyst for a couple of months now. Just wondering if anyone else has had one & do you know if it hinders getting pregnant??? I go for my ultrasound today after waiting 6 weeks from the first one to see if the cyst is shrinking. I have a bad feeling it hasn't due to the aches I still get. I'm pretty nervous & frustrated at the same time. Any info. would be appreciated.

Depression Meds and Pregnancy

Hello I am new to this board and my DH have just decided we want to TTC.

I was wondering if anyone had been on depression meds, such as effexor, while pregnant or TTC? We want to start trying but going off the medications isn't an option for me. I have a doctor's appointment this week but I was just curios if anyone had any personal experiences that could help.

I just got off BC and as per doctor's advice we will wait for 2 months for the BC pill to clear out of my system, and then we will start..we are hoping end of August.

TTC after Depo

After we had our DS, I went on the Depo shot for BC. I was on it for about two years and enjoyed two years without a period! My last shot was in March '06, so I would have been due for another in June '06. July '06 is when I had my first period again, somewhat regular and pretty normal. DH and I have now been TTC since this past Jan, and so far nothing. I'm not even sure if I'm ovulating yet, and not really interested in buying the ovulation kits just yet.

I remember my doctor telling me that it can take 6mo to 2yrs before a woman can conceive after the last shot, but I think I really wasn't expecting it to take that long. Has anybody else on here had the experience of TTC after Depo? How long did it take to conceive?

question about period and spotting

Hi there. I had my last menstrual period on May 9th and 18 days later on May 27th, i had some spotting for 1 day. Today i still havent gotten a period and was wondering about my chances of being pregnant. Last month i was really bad with my birth control pill and stopped taking it because my prescription ran out, and silly me kept putting it off on getting another prescription. So it has been a few weeks now that i have not been on the pill. I am just confused as i had some spotting on May 27th and totally stopped keeping track of things this last month or so. What do you guys think is going on? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks a bunch.

This is my situation.

I had my period on april 5 to 7. A week later I had unprotected sex on the 13 of april.

Took the morning after pill but those pills were in my cabinet since may of 2005. I got them then but never took them. So they may of been expired.

A week after taking the morning after pills I started to spot then it got very heavy from the 19 to 21 of april. It stopped suddenly. That was not normal for me. I also had small blood clots.

After the 21 I have been feeling a bit dizzy, very tired, Irritable, very poor appite which is not normal for me. I never go without breakfast and now I cant seem to eat breakfast. Only one day thou i did feel sick but never got sick. Having the feeling that I am on my period, going to the bathroom alot having slight cramps. and the last thing is having lots of white discharge the whole week.

I did take an home preg test this morning april 28 but it did show up negative.

Is it too early to take a home preg test?

Can I still pregnant?

Could these symptons that I am having be due to the mornign after pill?

Please can someone give me some advice on this siuation. Is there a chance that I could be pregnant or no?

Hello everyone!! I am new here and here is my very first post!

My husband is a smoker and he is working on quitting before we TTC. I have just started my vitamins, so he knows he has about 3 months to quit. Does anyone have any info on smoking and fertility? i have already done some google searches but I was wondering if anyone has anything that I have missed. Is it true that smoking can alter the DNA of sperm?

Anyone been on the pill longer than 10 year here?

Folic Acid and Vitamins

I'm getting married next and month and we want to start TTC shortly thereafter (definitely by the new year). I'm taking a multi-vitamin (women's formula one a day). Is anyone else taking a pre-natal formula and multi-vitamin as a combo or just pre-natal vitamin.

Of course we know we are not alone but it isnt something that we advertise we just deal with it in our own little world and were wondering what other couples were experiecing with infertility and what treatments they are using?

Since DH and I decided we were 'ready' to TTC I have been batteling some fears with myself! Okay sounds crazy... but...

I'm usually a very positive/optomistic person but once I started reading up on TTC/pregnancy you can't help but also be informed of the 'not so good' stuff.

Two of my friends are having difficulty conceiving and this has also really scared me. I mean I know it's not easy for everyone and stuff...but I can't help but have this fear in me of "will it happen to us"!?!?!

Am I alone on this or is this a normal fear or feeling?!?!

Pregnancy Tests

Hi,

I'm new here and I am hoping you girls can share your stories with me regarding home pregnancy tests.

I took a pregnancy test yesterday afternoon after feeling bloated, agitated and tender. It came back positive. To be certain I thought I would take another one this morning with my morning bathroom routine (I had heard it was best to test in the morning), however I dropped the test and it gave me an error message (it was the ClearBlue digital kind). So I waited until the error symbols cleared and tried again – this time it came back negative. I am thinking the first test is correct because I hadn’t gone to the bathroom in a few hours, the tester had not been dropped, and the final time I tried I had to push to go (if you know what I mean.)

I am just curious as to what other people’s home pregnancy test stories have been and how accurate they are!

Is it possible?

Ok Ladies i need your expertise. DH and I a re TTC. My ovulation date was October. We have been going at it like rabbits lol. If i took a pregnancy test before my period is due will it show if i am pregnant?

I am not sure how long after your ovulation date a pregnancy test will show.

I know you can test a few days before your missed period, but what if you have noo idea when your period will be (i just got off the pill so no clue when my "real" periods will start..) Is there a certain number of days after you conceive?

I had an HSG yesterday-it was quite painful for me. It turns out I have a blockage in my right fallopian tube. I don't know what this means and I don't see my doctor again until Dec. 6. I know he's going to schedule a laparoscopy. I'm pretty nervous about it. Anyone else been through this?
