Still working on the list. Sorry it's taking so long: between kids, life, work, volunteering, end-of-school, etc. it's taking a bit longer than anticipated.

However, I'm hoping to post on the blog today with a list of Canada Day events around the country - some of the events will include free admission or include free prizes for kids.

I have found great deals at garage and yard sales. I have found very nice, nearly new clothes for my son and daughter and I have found some great outdoor and indoor toys at very low prices. The trick is you need to get there at least 15 minutes before advertised opening time to get the great stuff.

I would also like to see the list. You might also want to check out save.ca, as they have coupons for various products, including some gerber products. The coupons get mailed to you soon after ordering them too.

Yes, Freecycle is awsome. Im a member of our group here in Regina and I think we have a membership of at least 2400 and growing. People are always posting childrens things on our list.

Hi All, I'm not sure if you've got one near to you but I often check in at the local Goodwill Store or Value Village. I've pretty well set up my children's play room with Little Tikes furniture -1 easel and 2 chairs and even a desk for under $20 (for everything!). They often have clothes in pretty good condition as well - I know cause I've given some of my own never used things there. Other than that, have you heard of freecycle.com? You can post things you want to get rid of or even request things. Anyway, hope those two ideas help out a bit.

Hi everyone, speaking of Kijiji.....I was looking for those Baby Einstein DVD's and I typed in Baby Einstein DVD and found this online retailer of a 26 DVD set for only $60.00 ($70.00 in provinces outside of Ontario or Quebec I think)!!!!

What a fantastic price and they are brand new and sealed!!! Even Costco and Future Shop are many times more money after you collect the whole 26 DVD set. I bought one and it is amazing and my youngsters just love them! It was even free shipping to my door!!! The guy posts his contact information so I was not nervous at all with dealing with a stranger. He sells toys and gifts but does the Einstein Sets on the side I believe? His email is thefuture@golden.net .
Can't go wrong with this set. Just want to tell you all that this is a huge money savings for what you would normally spend.

I don't think this has been mentioned but Bonnie Togs has AMAZING prices in baby and kids' clothing, accessories, furniture, gifts, etc. I looked on their web site and they have dozens of locations in central and southwestern Ontario.

I'll definitely attempt to cover all of Canada for the freebies list and will post here and/or send by PM once it's complete. Keep posting those ideas/coupons/freebies/discounts.

I love the Children's Place outlet store in South Edmonton Common. They always have great stuff on sale, you just have to buy it when the seasons change. I got my son two really great sweaters for next fall/winter. They were regular 19.95 each...I paid 2.92 for them! You just have to plan ahead! I also really like Please Mum. I buy clothes the same way, one size bigger when the seasons change. The great thing is that stores change seasons, in the middle of the season! You should be able to get great summer stuff on sale mid July or eary August when they bring out the fall/winter clothes.

We have one here in Regina called usedregina.com and its very popular, I post and buy things on there all the time. Im sure there is probably a usedtoronto.com, ect. Its a really cool site. I have it booked marked and check it at least twice a day looking for a good bargain, as I have a 8 month old and they grow so fast i hate to buy brand new.

Kijiji and Craigs List have already been mentioned, but I recently bought by 2yr olds entire size 3 wardrobe off ebay in two 'case lot' auctions. I don't particularly care if he wears designer clothes, but there were some case lots of those clothes too (but more generally they are auctioned as individual pieces of clothing). I got over 50 pieces of clothing for $140 including shipping. I bought a spring/summer lot and a winter lot, so I even have two swim trunks and lots of shorts and jeans. I don't have the time or patience to look at multiple auctions on single pieces of clothing so this worked great for me.

I am a Huggies Mom and subscribe to their newsletters just for the coupons. Pampers also has a magazine with coupons and you can get more at Save.ca

Good deals are always appreciated. I have ck'd Kijiji too, but found that some stuff is still close to full price. I have used one store here in Edmonton called Once Upon a Child which had some good deals, but am still on an endless search. I have a baby girl on the way, and a boy who will be 3 next month!!
