hello, i'm new on Parent talk and i would just like to indroue myself and my family. My name is amanda and i'm 22years old i have a daughter named Makayla who is 18months and have a son named Riley who is 5 months my children are 13month apart which is a big handful at time.

Hi all. New to this forum. My son was born Dec 7 2006 and my daughter was born Jun 16 2004 both by c-section. I'm really enjoying the forums, as I'm a stay at home mom. I did work for a company that does seasonal work at tax time, but I'm going to work this year as my son was born a few months ago.

Hello everyone. So far this site seems like a wonderful resource...so much information and support from experienced moms. I am a first time mom and totally loving it! My daughter, Madison, is 5 1/2 months now and growing like a weed! We can't wait to have more children. My husband and I went through a lot of fertility testing and procedures before we were fortunate enough to have our daughter and we're hoping to try for another one this summer. Does anyone have advice on when the best time to have a second child would be? My daughter will be one this summer and since she is the first child and we tried so hard to have her, we want to make sure she gets all the love and attention she deserves! I just wonder how I would be able to balance a toddler and a newborn.....it seems like so much work already! And how can there possibly be enough love to go around? I worry that we may not feel the same about the second?

Hello My name is Amy and I have read a few parent talks to see what is talked about and I have just replied to one of the topics.

I am a new mom of a wonderful little boy. His name is Austin and he is my world. It has been amazing to have Austin with us. My husband and I are loving every minute with him. Austin was born On June 6th 2006.

we did not find out the gender of the baby until I delivered him. I could not believe that I was a mother and that I know a son. Since Austin has been born we have had a lot of doctor visits because Austin has a Brachial Plexus injury from birth. Austin and I have been doing therapy 5 times a day at home and have been going to Mac for doctor visit and to seen a few occupational Therapist. The injury was just a little to much for Austin to repair on his own. We will be going a surgery on October 26th 2006. I am worried but I know that he is in good hands.

I was wondering if anyone else has had a child with this injury or if your child has gone in for surgery and how you dealt with it?

Do you dress your kids in labels?

I'm just curious! Our boys are usually dressed in labels-unless it's playtime at Grandma's or they're going to get really messy. I love to get them all dressed up in their nice clothes! I think some of the times they're better dressed than I am. When I first met FH it used to drive me crazy that he spent so much $ on their clothes-but we decided to be consistent with what they wear when they're with their mom (it's 50-50 custody) and consistent with what they were already used to. I love getting the sales-Gap has them all the time. FH and I love lining up on Boxing day-and I've always got my eye out for bargains.

Cloe is five days old, born July 3, 2006 @ 11:24 a.m. one week early through induction, she weighed 10 lbs 6 ozs, they let me deliver one week early so I wouldn't deliver a 11 lb baby like my first baby.

Cloe is loved by her mommy, daddy and big sister.

It's been a really long time since I've posted any pics so thought I would update you on what my little guys look like now.

Our goofy guy. I went swimming with Cole and had bought some new things for him and thought I'd see how Carter liked wearing the googles. He just thought it was funny and kept laughing. Probably cause we were laughing so much at him.

well Charlotte is 19 months old now...growing up too fast. She can say *most* of her abc's, counting to 6 (then says "ah ah ah" like the count on sesame street ) She is not starting to potty train herself LOL She suddenly asked yesterday to poop on the potty...it was her first time. Daddy was home alone with her..he was so proud..he got out teh video camera! LOL She is now 28lbs and 34 inches tall. She talks about her *sister Amelia* who we are expecting in August, but I am sure she really has no clue of what is really going to happen! These are some of her most recent pics- my dig cam is so slow I do not often get her smile on it LOL. Hope everyone is doing well.
