My Mom is a very keen grandparent but I often find that I can't get her to get the hint that we need time to ourselves as a new little family. She's made comments about our newborn being "her baby too." It's kinda making me crazy but I don't want to hurt her feelings. Any advice on how to draw some boundaries - nicely?

Thanks!

Yow.  That sounds troublesome Fifi.  Can you just gently explain that it's not in fact her baby and that she's welcome to visit every week or so?

Perhaps she's feeling lonely or depressed?

I have similar problems my parents and I do shared accomidations to keep bills down and they are always trying to tell me how to raise my child and I have to keep reminding them that laws and rules have changed and what they use to do is not allowed anymore.
